Bir ülkede hükümetlerin görev yapma süresi, muhalefet edenlerin başarısı ile ters orantılıdır.

Muhalefet edenler ya bilinçli olarak bu alanda görevlendirilmişlerdir veya tamamen beceriden yoksun olup, alternatif üretme vizyonları yoktur.

Dünyayı yöneten güçler, her ülkede sözde demokrasi gereği, yarattıkları sözde iktidarları ayakta tutmak için, ona muhalefet eden siyasi yapılar oluştururlar. Bu siyasi yapılar siyasi partiler olabileceği gibi sendikalar veya sivil toplum örgütleri de olabilir.

Türkiye’de yaşanan siyasi gelişmelerin tarihsel seyrine baktığımızda, bu örgütlenmeleri tüm açıklığı ile görürüz.

Son 25 yılda, tüm yolsuzluk, usulsüzlük ve anti demokratik uygulamalara rağmen, Türkiye’de yönetim kademelerinde bulunan Erdoğan-AKP rejimini ayakta tutanın, 13 kez seçim kaybeden Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu liderliğindeki CHP’nin olması rastlantı değildir.

Kaldı ki, mahkeme kararı ile CHP’nin genel kurulunun iptal edilerek, yöneticilerinin görevden alınması ve Kılıçdaroğlu’nun oraya atanması, muhalefet olduğunu söyleyenlerin aslında rejime hizmet ettiklerinin açık bir kanıtıdır.

Türkiye’nin bir alt yönetimi olarak tanımlanan, Kıbrıs’ın kuzeyinde, durumun bundan farklı olmadığını, nasıl ki Türkiye’yi küresel güç odakları idare ediyorsa, burayı da Türkiye’nin idare ettiğini bilmeyen yoktur.

Bu gerçek ortada durmasına rağmen, hükümette olanlar veya muhalefet edenler bu gerçeği söylemekten kaçınarak, “mış” gibi yaparak, normal bir ülkede yaşadığımız izlenimi vererek, misyonları olan “rejimi gizleme siyasetini” sürdürmektedirler.

Şu anda, atanmış kukla hükümet, Türkiye tarafından başımızda oturtulmakta, muhalefet edenler de sözde muhalefetçilik görevlerini yerine getirerek onu ayakta tutmaktadırlar.

Yaşanan bunca toplumsal sıkıntıya, yolsuzluk, usulsüzlük ve yasadışılığa rağmen bu yapı devam ediyorsa, bu muhalefet edenlerin başarısızlığının sonucudur.

Bu başarısızlık, dayatılan bilinçli bir siyasi misyonun sonucudur ve rejimi rahatsız etmedikleri için Türkiye, Kıbrıs’ın kuzeyindeki muhalefeti çok başarılı olarak görmektedir

Türkiye, adanın kuzeyinde yaşayan insanların kimyasını çözmüş, “yüksek maaş, ganimet, rejimin nimetlerinden yararlandırma” gibi birtakım avantajlarla insanları ve örgütleri rehin almayı başarmıştır.

Üniversite diplomasından, sürüş ehliyetinden, sahte vatandaşlıktan, sahte koçandan tutun da kumardan, fuhuştan, insan ve uyuşturucu kaçakçılığından, ihale yolsuzluğundan, kara para aklamaya kadar her türlü toplumsal onurumuza yakışmayan faaliyetin rejimin bilgisi dahilinde ekonomik faaliyet olarak devam ettiği böyle bir yerde, hükümet edenlerin bu kadar uzun süre ayakta kalmasının sırrı, muhalefetin misyonunun, muhalefet olmadığını göstermektedir.

Muhalefet sadece siyasi partilerden değil sendikalardan da oluşur.

Hükümete yakın olan sendikalar bunu açık açık ortaya koyar ve eylem aşamasında kitlelerini bayrak, vatan, millet ile uyuturken son dönemde geçmişte rejime muhalefet olma geleneğini, rejimin nimetlerinden yararlanmak veya kendi kişisel siyasi menfaatleri için terk eden yöneticilerin olduğu KTÖS gibi sendikalar da katılmıştır.

Geçmişte, gündemi belirleyen KTÖS, rejimin yarattığı yapay gündemlerin arkasında kaybolarak, silikleşmiş, ayrılıkçı rejimin parçası durumuna gelmiştir.

Rejimin tanıtılması adına Adıyaman’a çocuklarımızı ve öğretmenlerimizi göndererek, depremde çok acı bir şekilde ölmelerine neden olan, Erdoğan – AKP rejiminin atadığı bu hükümetin eğitim bakanı ile “adalet yürüyüşü” düzenlemenin açıklaması başka ne olabilir ki?

Türkiye tarafından seçimlerimize açıkça müdahale edilerek başımıza oturtulan, Ersin Tatar’ın, kendisine verilen görev gereği çözümsüzlüğü ileriye taşımak için çocuklarımız ve öğretmenlerimize yönelik başlatılan bir barış öğretisi olan “Imagine Projesi’ni” durdurmasına sessiz kalınmasının ve son seçimler sonrası projenin tekrardan başlatılmasına rağmen, KTÖS’ün bundan uzak durmasını nasıl açıklayabilirsiniz?

Adıyaman depremi sonrası, çürük okul binalarının terk edilerek, öğrencilerin ve öğretmenlerin ihalesiz şekilde satın alınan, barakalarda eğitim almaya zorlanması başta olmak üzere parasız, bilimsel, laik eğitim adına, uzun bir süreden beri eylem yapan Orta Eğitim Sendikası’nın yalnız bırakılması nasıl açıklanabilir?

Öğretmen Akademisi mezuniyet töreninde “KTÖS yöneticileri ile çok uyum içinde çalışıyoruz” diyen eğitim bakanının, akademide yaşanan bilimsel belge tartışmasının üstüne giden akademi yönetim kurulunu görevden alması karşısında, sendikanın sessiz kalması danışıklı dövüşün ve uyumun ne olduğunu göstermektedir.

Bakanın, geçici öğretmenleri kadrolama adına, yasa değişikliği yaparak, kurumu yozlaştırması girişiminin sendikanın bilgisi dışında olması imkansızdır. Bu yasanın anayasaya aykırı olduğu bilinmesine rağmen, gündeme gelmesi, herkesin rolünü oynadığını göstermektedir.

Hükümetin geçicileri kadrolama girişimini ileriye taşıdığını göstererek, ana muhalefeti engel olmakla suçlama, sendikanın da üyelerine şirin görünme adına “karşı çıkıyorum” diyerek yaygara koparma misyonu üstlendiği görülmektedir.

Kıbrıs Türk toplumunun varlığı adına siyaset yapmaktan kaçan, AKP’nin atadığı bu hükümetin verdiği maaşların devamından başka hiçbir gailesi olmayan, rejime muhalefet etme misyonunu terk eden bir sendikal anlayışı sürdürenlerin tek hedefi rejimin koltuklarına ve avantalarına talip olmaktır.

Being in Opposition (1)

In a country, the length of time governments remain in power is inversely proportional to the success of those in opposition. Those who oppose the government are either consciously assigned to this role, or they are completely lacking in competence and possess no vision for producing alternatives.

The powers that govern the world, under the guise of democracy, create opposition structures in every country to sustain the governments they themselves have established. These political structures may take the form of political parties, trade unions, or non-governmental organizations.

When we examine the historical course of political developments in Turkey, we can clearly see these organizational structures. Despite widespread corruption, irregularities, and anti-democratic practices over the last 25 years, it is no coincidence that the CHP, led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who lost 13 elections, has been one of the main factors keeping the Erdoğan-AKP regime in power. Moreover, the court-ordered annulment of the CHP congress, the removal of its current leadership, and the possibility of Kılıçdaroğlu being reinstated are clear indications that those who claim to be in opposition are, in fact, serving the regime.

As a subordinate administration of Turkey, in the north Cyprus is no different. Just as Turkey is governed by global power centers, in the north Cyprus is governed by Turkey. Despite this obvious reality, both those in government and those claiming to be in opposition avoid acknowledging it. Instead, they act “as if” we live in a normal country, thereby continuing their mission of concealing the true nature of the regime.

At present, an appointed puppet government is being imposed upon us by Turkey, while those who claim to oppose it perform their role as pseudo-opposition figures and help keep it in power. If this structure continues despite widespread social hardship, corruption, misconduct, and illegality, it is a consequence of the opposition’s failure. This failure is the result of a deliberately imposed political mission, and because they do not disturb the regime, Turkey considers the opposition in the north Cyprus to be highly successful.

Turkey has effectively understood the psychology of the people living in the north of the island and has managed to hold individuals and organizations hostage through advantages such as “high salaries, spoils, and access to the benefits of the regime.”

In a place where activities unworthy of our collective dignity from fake university diplomas, driver’s licenses, forged citizenships, and fraudulent title deeds to gambling, prostitution, human trafficking, drug trafficking, corruption in public tenders, and money laundering continue as economic activities with the regime’s knowledge, the fact that those in power remain in office for so long demonstrates that the mission of the opposition is not genuine opposition.

Opposition is not composed solely of political parties; it also includes trade unions. While unions close to the government openly reveal their alignment and lull their members with rhetoric about flags, homeland, and nation during periods of mobilization, unions such as KTÖS have also joined them. In recent years, KTÖS has abandoned its tradition of opposing the regime, largely due to leaders seeking personal political gain or access to the regime’s privileges.

Once a union that set the political agenda, KTÖS has faded into obscurity by following the artificial agendas created by the regime and has effectively become part of the separatist system. What other explanation can there be for organizing a “Justice March” together with the Minister of Education appointed by the Erdoğan-AKP regime the same government that sent our children and teachers to Adıyaman for promotional purposes, resulting in their tragic deaths during the earthquake?

How can one explain the silence regarding Ersin Tatar, who was openly imposed upon us through Turkish interference in our elections and who, in line with the mission assigned to him, halted the Imagine Project a peace education initiative aimed at our children and teachers? Furthermore, how can KTÖS’s continued distance from the project be explained, even after it was restarted following the elections?

How can it be explained that the Secondary Education Teachers’ Union has been left alone in its long-standing struggle for free, scientific, and secular education especially after the Adıyaman earthquake, when unsafe school buildings were abandoned and students and teachers were forced into prefabricated structures purchased without proper tender procedures? We will provide dozens of similar examples in future articles.

At the graduation ceremony of the Teachers’ Academy, the Minister of Education stated, “We work in great harmony with the KTÖS leadership.” When the minister subsequently dismissed the Academy’s governing board for pursuing a controversy concerning scientific documentation, the union remained silent. This silence clearly demonstrates the nature of their cooperation and mutual understanding. It is impossible that the union was unaware of the minister’s attempt to undermine the institution by amending legislation to grant permanent status to temporary teachers. Despite knowing that this law would be unconstitutional, it was nevertheless brought forward, demonstrating that everyone is simply playing their assigned role. The government seeks to advance the regularization of temporary employees while accusing the main opposition of obstructing it, and the union, in turn, assumes the role of publicly objecting in order to appear sympathetic to its members.

Those who avoid engaging in politics for the survival of the Turkish Cypriot community, whose only concern is the continuation of the salaries paid by this government appointed by the AKP, and who have abandoned the mission of opposing the regime in favor of a compliant trade union mentality, have only one objective: to gain access to the regime’s positions and privileges. Within the framework drawn for them by the regime, you may continue watching the performances of those especially the unions who claim to be in opposition.
